Terms of Use

Thank you for choosing HRT AUTO SHOP. We value your business and are committed to providing quality used auto parts including engines, transmissions, turbos, transfer cases, and ABS units. Please review the following terms carefully, as they outline our policies regarding shipping, returns, installation, warranty, and more.

Product Condition

All parts sold by HRT AUTO SHOP are used components that have been removed from previously owned vehicles and upcycled for reuse. While we strive to provide accurate mileage information, stated mileage is not guaranteed and reflects our best knowledge. Normal signs of wear, including external rust, may be present.

Shipping

  • Standard delivery time is 7–14 business days.

  • Engines and transmissions are heavy items that require proper unloading equipment. Manual unloading is not recommended.

  • Customers must inspect shipments immediately upon delivery. Any damages must be reported to BUAP within 48 hours, with photographs showing the issue.

  • BUAP will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) for verified damage claims. Returns must be shipped in the same condition received within 7 days of RMA issuance.

  • If a replacement is unavailable, a full refund will be issued within 24 hours.

Returns

  • All returns require prior authorization from HRT AUTO SHOP. A return address will be provided upon approval.

  • The part must be returned in the same condition as received.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, except in cases of verified damage or defects.

  • Returns not due to defects or damage are subject to a 30% restocking fee.

  • Refunds are processed only after inspection and verification of the returned product.

Replacements

  • Replacement parts are considered a repair of the original unit. The original installation date and mileage remain in effect.

Installation Requirements

To maintain warranty coverage, installation must follow the guidelines below and be performed by a certified mechanic where required:

For Engines:

  • Replace oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and rear main seal.

  • Drain and replace engine oil to manufacturer’s recommended levels.

  • Install new belts and hoses.

  • Must be installed within 10 business days of delivery.

For Automatic Transmissions:

  • Thoroughly clean all components before assembly.

  • Replace all seals and gaskets.

  • Replace oil and filter.

  • Flush and flow-test cooler and lines.

  • Ensure torque converter is fully engaged in front pump.

  • Must be installed within 10 business days of delivery.

For Manual Transmissions:

  • Install a new clutch, pressure plate, and slave cylinder.

  • Resurface the flywheel.

  • Fill and check fluids to manufacturer’s specifications.

For CVT Transmissions:

  • Install a new transmission cooler.

  • Flush all lines thoroughly.

  • Use the manufacturer-specified CVT fluid.

  • Reprogramming is required.

For Transfer Cases & ABS Units:

  • Some parts may require reprogramming by a dealer or ASE-certified technician.

  • Warranty is void if the unit is returned disassembled without written authorization.

Warranty

  • Standard warranty is 60 days from delivery date.

  • Extended warranties may be available and require notification after installation.

  • Warranty claims must be submitted within 5 business days of issue, with a diagnostic report from an ASE-certified automotive facility.

  • Warranty covers internal mechanical components only (engine block, cylinder heads, pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, rockers, and oil pump).

  • Warranty does not cover attached accessories such as sensors, wiring, hoses, pumps, manifolds, brackets, or other non-core components.

  • Warranty is void if:

    • Engine/transmission is disassembled without authorization.

    • Heat tabs are missing or melted.

    • Modules are not reprogrammed as required.

Cancellations

  • Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of confirmation at no charge.

  • Cancellations after 24 hours are subject to a 30% restocking fee.

Labor Policy

BUAP does not cover labor charges, installation costs, towing fees, or any other expenses incurred.
